PRECISION CARE BOW TO LOCAL RESIDENTS' PRESSURE |
We are very pleased to able to tell you that Precision Care have finally abandoned their plans for a Care Facility at Atlanta House.
They recently sent us the following e-mail :
At a meeting of the Board it was decided that exposure and opposition from local residents has made the environment unsuitable and unsafe for children in our care. We will therefore not be proceeding with the opening of Atlanta House as a Children’s Home.
We request that we are left to market the property for sale without any interference or interruption by the local residents.
We would like to thank everyone, including our local councillors, for their encouragement and support during this campaign.
Sarah Hayes, Nick Byers, Peter Trott & Jo Jaeckel.

The Director of Children and Young People’s Services further confirmed that the Authority were planning to increase the number of specialist foster care placements which would reduce the reliance on residential care places.
